The next Biosafety Practitioner Level 1 course is a Hybrid course (January 2014). We are not running the face to face course at present.
The four day Biosafety Practitioner Level 1 (Foundation) course is held over five days at the Biosafety Training Institute in Edinburgh. The course starts at 12.15pm on Monday, with a light lunch provided, and teaching commences at 1pm. It finishes around 1pm on the Friday.
Delegates are sent pre-course materials and instructions on preparing for the course approximately four weeks before the start of the course. These notes should be read before the commencement of the course as they will help delegates during the training.
This course contains a variety of learning methods and assessments on each of the five days.
The cost of the face to face course is £1,500* per delegate. This covers the course materials, tutor training, refreshments and lunch each day. Please note that the cost of the course is exempt of VAT.
*Delegates employed in Higher Education institutions are entitled to this training at a slightly reduced rate. Please contact the BTI for details.
The BTI likes to keep in touch with its delegates and offer ongoing assistance and advice. Once a delegate has confirmation of a course booking, the BTI will invite them to join “BTI-Net”, a private Facebook discussion group. Past and present BTI delegates use this forum to keep in touch with others who were on their course, network with others in the sector, to ask advice and to share news of interest. Participating in this group is entirely optional.
Please note that places on this course are strictly limited so early booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
