Is this course for me?

If you have or will have a role in health and safety within a biological or biomedical environment, including biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, then this is the course for you!  Most of the delegates have first degrees/post graduate qualifications.  Some delegates have more health and safety knowledge and experience rather than biological, and some have worked more in science than safety – the course is suitable for both. Previous attendees include:

What is covered by the course?

The modules taught on the BTI Biosafety Practitioner Level 1 course satisfy the requirements of the ISTR learning outcomes.

How long will it take me to do the online part of the hybrid/online course?

The online training takes the form of training videos accompanied by supporting notes, documentation and web-links.  The training videos can be watched as many times as required.  Time spent on each unit within each module will be dependent on each individual delegate and his/her past knowledge and experience.  However, to allow an estimation of time to allow, the timings below could be used as a guide:

HYBRID : To watch the training videos ONCE - allow 2 hours +
                 Reading - allow 20-60 hours

ONLINE; To watch the training videos ONCE - allow approx 7 hours
                Reading - allow 40 - 80 hours                
               Online sessions allow approx 3 hours
